* Oversee the community engagement and brand exposure through health education and safety prevention for JDCH. Responsible for Tour De Broward planning and execution.
1. TOUR DE BROWARD
Serve as lead event manager for the Tour de Broward which raises over $500,000 plus per year. Duties will include all phases of planning and preparation for the Tour de Broward with a goal of increasing net revenue and growing event participation on an annual basis while linking efforts of the Foundation and the Community Relations Department to improve collaboration and align goals. Oversee a system-wide team with multiple sub-committees made up of MHS staff and Directors focusing specifically on Tour de Broward event on a voluntary basis. Ensure the event meets participation and fundraising goals
In collaboration with the JDCH Foundation will develop and secure in-kind and assist with cash sponsorship (developing levels of sponsorships, incentives, promotional opportunities) and report ROI to key sponsors. Works within the parameters of the approved budget.
Responsible for all event logistics: Development and lead oversight/coordination of event committees (walk, run, cycle, logistics, school participation, traffic & safety, permits, community outreach, physician and staff outreach, communications, participant tent, volunteers, power of play, VIP tent and staff) and execution of event multi-prong event.
Development of registration plan and incentives plan (fees, fundraising incentives, etc.) in conjunction with JDCH Foundation and timely opening of fundraising site.
2. COMMUNTIY ENGAGEMENT
Oversight and responsibility for JDCH Service Line events and activities in the tri-county area: Brand exposure & community engagement Expansion Develop community events and other outreach programs that support system brand building and service line growth; connect consumers with specific health risks/needs to health system physicians, clinical programs and services. Coordinate collaboration with business development directors for assigned service lines tasks to liaisons based on goals of service line.
3. Work with Administrative Director to achieve strategic departmental goals.
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Licensure, Certification and Registration: None required.
Complexity of Work: Strong Communication Skills (oral and written). Able to work with all levels in the Organization (Executives, physicians, managers, staff). Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in stressful environment and take appropriate action. Excellent computer skills. Must be able to work flexible schedule, Must be able to attend events at different locations (indoors and outdoors).
Required Work Experience: 5 years related experience.
