to perform environmental project coordination, environmental data reviews, environmental data entry, and creating various report writing tasks specific to assigned project or work group in Mobile, Alabama.
Excellent PC skills are essential ! This is an 11 month assignment!RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Environmental Scientist at Parsons, you will coordinate asbestos/lead assessment & abatement projects of small or moderate scope and complexity, as well as prepare necessary correspondence and maintain data project files.
You will gather and review laboratory and general environmental data, and review and combine this information into established reports for use within and outside the unit. Such reports may be in spreadsheet or graphical formats, or narrative-style word documents. The ability to express this extrapolated data in a meaningful way is essential.
Your work here might include performing a variety of environmental sampling and analytical tasks (i.e., groundwater, soil, and industrial hygiene sampling) as well.
A 4-year degree in Environmental Science or other related field is required.
At least 1 year of relevant work experience is highly desirable. (i.e., work experience with an environmental consulting firm). Internships are given credit for work.
Candidate should have a working knowledge of asbestos & lead regulations.
Candidate with certification as an Asbestos and/or Lead Inspector is highly desirable.
Good business English and general office practice skills are required.
A good working knowledge of MS Windows and related word processing,
