Assistant to the Vice President for the Department of Advancement
The full-time assistant to the vice president for advancement provides executive level administrative support in achieving the mission of the advancement division for the university. Along with managing the vice president’s schedule and appointments with internal and external stakeholders, the assistant provides technical assistance to EMU’s capital campaign; aids institutional teamwork and implements division department objectives and policies. Qualifications/Experience: bachelor’s degree required, 3-5 yeas of administrative office experience with focus on office systems, budget, personnel and project management, and database skills required.
Staff Athletic Trainer
The athletic trainer will assist the head athletic trainer in the coordination and delivery of athletic training services to EMU’s intercollegiate athletic program. This includes, but is not limited to, coordination of physical exams, evaluation and appropriate treatment of injuries at practices and games, design and supervision of rehabilitations programs, counseling of athletes within the limits of expertise, and pre-practice/game set-up and taping. Bachelor’s degree in related field of study required. National Athletic Trainers Associations (N.A.T.A.) certified; Virginia Department of Health Professions licensure. First aid/CPR certified. Position is full-time for the academic year – August – May.
Engineering Lab Technician
The technician will be responsible for the efficient operation of the engineering academic laboratories and ensures that lab safety rules are implemented. The lab technician oversees technical work in the laboratories including the preparation of materials and equipment, maintenance of machinery and equipment, record-keeping, and the proper and safe use of equipment and tools. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline or 4 years relevant work experience. Knowledge of safety practices and precautions applicable to engineering laboratories is required. Previous experience in engineering laboratories, including equipment opera on and basic maintenance desired. Certification by certifying bodies such as NICET, WACEL is a plus. Position is part-time (10-15 hours per week) during the academic year.
Data Analytics Coordinator
The coordinator is responsible for query and report generation for the advancement division, database management and analysis, and assuring the accuracy of all contributions made to the institution, as well as prospect research. Bachelor’s degree required. Database management and querying subsets of data, and creating reports for end users is required. Microsoft Office proficiency required including advanced Excel with pivot tables, mail merge and Access. Analytical, math capabilities and computer programming preferred. Basic understanding of general ledger accounting is required.
Assistant for Alumni and Parent Engagement
The assistant is responsible to provide support the director and assist in the department’s programs and events. The individual will be responsible for managing the electronic databases of all constituent groups, work in conjunction with other departments to provide information and reports. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work history, as well as strong communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have experience working with databases.
