The Harrisonburg Rockingham Community Services Board is recruiting for a full-time, salaried Information Technology (IT) Manager. The position provides leadership in a cohesive and supportive environment for an existing strong and experienced IT staff. The incumbent will need strong communication skills to work effectively with HRCSB staff with varying degrees of technical proficiency in a positive proactive manner. The position requires considerable accuracy, planning and problem-solving skills, independent judgement, and an understanding of confidentiality regulations. A thorough knowledge of computer-based operations, including network design and administration in a Microsoft Windows Active Directory Domain in a mixed Windows/Unix environment is required as well as thorough knowledge of the Unix, Linux, and Windows operation systems and ability to script in these environments. The position requires a B.S. in computer science or information systems, or related area plus two years experience in technical/support operations, preferably in a public and/or health care agency; Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Supervisory experience required and experience with electronic health records preferred.
