Inspector/Unit Turnover Coordinator
The Harrisonburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority is seeking a qualified applicant for conducting inspections for the Housing Choice Voucher program and coordinating unit turnover for Authority-owned properties. The inspector represents the HCV program to landlords, coordinates and conducts pre-contract and annual inspections per HUD standards, documents and follows up on inspection results; and completes move-in and move-out inspections, and coordinates sub-contractor services for unit turnover.
The successful applicant must be able to work independently, work with a diverse population; effectively use housing software, tablet and computer; apply federal, state, and local regulations; maintain confidentiality; and possess excellent written and communication skills. Experience with Housing Quality Standards and basic familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and construction standards is preferred. Valid Virginia Driver’s License is required.
