Maintains quality standards by inspecting finished lane machines, recording results and ensuring that quality specifications are being met. Assures that machines are assembled to specification, including quality, safety and customer satisfaction. Provides results of quality inspections to Production Supervisor. Summarizes defect ratings, process improvements and provides tools to communicate feedback to the supervisor and assembly team. Technician also conducts quality control on other items in the manufacturing area that are outside of the lane machine that includes and not limited to: Safety Controller, Pin Ball Wizard, etc, and provides results to the Productions Supervisor and Planner.
Roles and Responsibilities
70% - Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
5% - Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
5% - Back up the Production Supervisor or Planner while they are away; Utilize BASIS operations where needed including but not limited to: payroll, correcting inventory of discrepant material, etc.
5% - Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
5% - Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; updates and authors SOP’s; updates and authors job knowledge and work instructions in the Dozuki platform. Able to read prints clearly is a must.
5% - Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed. All other duties as assigned.
5% - Works with Inspection and engineering departments regarding defective material; Be able to communicate issues with departments, etc.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
3 – 5 years work experience in production or assembly process. At least 1 year experience in quality inspection role. Some BASIS experience required. Be knowledgeable with computers and Microsoft applications. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
Associates Degree in Quality or Electronics or high school diploma with 5 to 8 years of equivalent experience. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Must be able to effectively communicate to others. Self motivated and enjoys a challenge.
