Position: Business Office Manager

Position Description: Under the direction of the Vice President of Finance and Operations the Business Office Manager supports the administrative and informational needs of students, parents and faculty and staff and oversees the daily operational effectiveness and efficiency of the business office. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt 12-month position with two direct reports.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain student financial accounts, including management and collection of outstanding balances.
  • Manage P&C and student insurance.
  • Coordinate student transportation.
  • Reconcile credit card statements and oversee cash management functions.
  • Process financial aid applications (FACTS applications).
  • General faculty and staff support relating to clubs, extracurricular activities and other matters involving money.

Position Experience & Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of (3) years office supervisory experience required.
  • Ideally, familiar with Ohio Department of Education EdChoice and Jon Petersen Scholarship programs.
  • Commitment to maintain sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proficient in Blackbaud Tuition Management and Financial Edge (preferred), Google and Microsoft Office products (especially spreadsheet creation and management).
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
  • Appropriate criminal records check by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and Federal Bureau of investigation are required. Have attended or willing to attend a VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training.
