JOB SUMMARY

As a WIP (Work in Progress) Vault Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory within the Work in Progress (WIP) vault in a cannabis production facility. Your primary duty will be to ensure accurate tracking, recording, and management of all cannabis products in the WIP stage, from cultivation to processing. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of cannabis regulations are essential for success in this role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the entire inventory process for medicated products WIP (Raw Flower).
  • Maintain accurate records of all cannabis products in the WIP vault, including quantities, batch numbers, and expiration dates.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical inventory with electronic records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with production teams to ensure adequate stock for ongoing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis inventory management.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to inventory transactions, including receiving, transfers, and disposal.
  • Assist in regulatory inspections and audits by providing accurate inventory records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to implement and maintain quality control procedures for WIP inventory.
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to identify any discrepancies or issues.
  • Report any quality concerns or deviations from standards to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cultivation, processing, and packaging teams to coordinate inventory movements and transfers.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on inventory needs and priorities.
  • Provide training and support to team members on inventory management best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management workflows.
  • Recommend and implement changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the WIP vault.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to cannabis inventory management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Prior experience in inventory management, preferably in a cannabis or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Knowledge of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
