Description

The Department of Special Education has a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Applied Behavior Analysis position available August 15, 2024. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses related to applied behavior analysis (ABA) primarily via distance education, engaging in scholarly activities including research, program evaluation, grant writing, and serving on doctoral committees.

Minimum Qualifications

A. Doctorate or provide evidence of ABD status (Doctorate must be completed by date of employment) in Special Education or related field with a concentration in ABA.
B. Eligible to take the examination for Board Certified Behavior Analyst as stated on the Behavior Analyst Certified Board website (i.e., accrued 1,500 hours of BCBA-supervised field experience and met BCBA coursework requirement).
C. BCBA must be earned within the first year of employment if credential is not held at time of employment.

Authorization to work in the US

Employer will consider sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

A. Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral Level (BCBA-D)
B. Scholarly productivity in ABA including peer-reviewed behavioral research, including history of successful grant writing.
C. Experience teaching courses related to behavior interventions for individuals.
D. Experience teaching courses related to the experimental analysis of behavior.
E. Active role in ABA-related professional associations.
