The City of Brooklyn invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Clerk of Court. There is currently one (1) opening. Duties: Under general direction of Mayor (or Law Director and Magistrate as necessary), serves as primary contact point for members of public related to Mayor's court and performs clerical work to assist with the efficient operation of the Mayor's Court. Prepares or oversees preparation of required reports documenting operational and financial overview of Mayor's court. Clerk of Courts provides supervision and direction to Mayor's Court staff related to the tasks below.

Qualifications: High school or GED equivalent coursework in typing, computer operation, office practices and procedures preferred with prior one (1) to two (2) years' experience in law enforcement clerical work and or Mayor's/Municipal Court practices and procedures, with emphasis on supervision; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience necessary to perform essential functions of position. Must have valid driver's license and remain insurable under City insurance policy.

Salary will be determined based upon the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City and AFSCME Local 3218.
