Part-Time Facilities Assistant

Part-Time Facilities Assistant City of Ellensburg. 18 hours/week, varied schedule including weekends & evenings. Current Wages: $16.98-$21.22/hour. The City Library has a vacancy at Hal Holmes Community Center for a part-time Facilities Assistant. This is a part-time position scheduled to work 18 hours per week with a varied schedule which includes weekdays, evening, and weekends. This position is open to the public and to current City of Ellensburg employees that are working in an OPEIU covered position. The person in this position is responsible for ensuring that the Library and Hal Holmes Center are clean, safe, functional, and welcoming environments for all employees and community patrons. Will schedule community and private events for Hal Holmes Community Center (HHCC) clients; perform basic office procedures and provide courteous and efficient service; set up and strike events held at Hal Holmes, move furnishings, equipment, and other HHCC and Library property; provide assistance with audio/video equipment; and perform facilities and grounds maintenance and cleaning. Benefits include Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) and social security; $200.00 monthly benefit stipend in lieu of medical benefits; vacation and sick leave hours are earned on a prorated basis calculate on hours compensated per month; holiday, and employee choice hours are earned on a prorated basis calculated on the positions full-time equivalency (FTE). This position is represented by Office & Professional Employee Union, Local #8 (OPEIU).
