This role holds the following responsibilities:
  • Plans, implements, and coordinates short term courses that lead to skill and/or career advancement after analyzing market and employer needs.
  • Develops excellence in noncredit courses by identifying appropriate curriculum, supporting facilitators, supporting student recruitment efforts and managing all related systems and processes for successful delivery.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a professional environment developing, overseeing and/or supporting programs, including, but not limited to events, workshops, training sessions, formal education, conferences, and meetings.
  • Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in development and cultivation of partnerships with internal staff and representatives of external organizations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with varying levels of staff and external agencies.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with individuals and teams from diverse backgrounds and professional responsibilities.
  • Solid analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, and project management skills.

Familiarize yourself with existing noncredit programming so as not to duplicate already offered training. Slides may be used but are not required.Please note that candidates selected for a conditional offer will undergo verification of the required degree.

Pay Rate: $47,488/year

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.This position may require availability outside of the standard business day (weekend/evening open house, focus groups, networking events, meetings, etc.)

Summary of Essential Functions:
Project and Process Management (45%)
  1. Plans, develops, coordinates, executes and evaluates noncredit open-enrollment coursework for professionals, entrepreneurs and employers, maximizing offerings across shared markets.
  2. Proposes, plans, develops, coordinates, executes and evaluates noncredit coursework for employers based on identified skill gaps and talent development objectives.
  3. Recruits, evaluates, trains and supports instructors, ensuring adequate resources to achieve teaching and learning excellence. Provides individual student support and classroom management as needed.
  4. Analyzes enrollment in assigned programs, communicates additional marketing needs, evaluates financial requirements, reviews student feedback and determines inclusion of course in future offerings.
  5. Obtains appropriate licensing, certification and approval of current and future programs from recognized boards and agencies empowered to establish and ensure training standards are met and maintained.
  6. Manages implementation of scholarships, grants, and other financial opportunities for relevant programs. Reports on fund dispersal to granting institutions and College offices.
  7. Maintains knowledge of all College policies, procedures, and appropriate technology systems to inform, evaluate and update internal processes.


Customer Service (30%)
  1. Analyzes workforce needs in the region, research current education providers, determines viability within department and selects relevant curriculum or pertinent source of curriculum design.
  2. Benchmarks current and developing programs while maintaining knowledge of training best practices in assigned program areas.
  3. Conducts evaluations of learner, entrepreneur and employer aspirations to inform creation of coursework or referral to existing College programs or employment partnerships.
  4. Evaluates department systems, policies and procedures to better the products, services, tools and platforms to support progress towards goals.
  5. Tracks and reports progress towards established department goals.
Other (25%)
  1. Supports learner, entrepreneur and employer recruitment through Information sessions, representation at campus and community events, establishing and maintaining connections for direct advertising and advising department-wide marketing strategies.
  2. Reviews content for print and web advertising each semester, provides access to necessary documentation and provides feedback from related stakeholders.
  3. Establishes and maintains partnerships with relevant entities connected to current and planned programs.
  4. Represents department on internal and external committees, boards and professional organizations upholding college values to represent the department and institution as a quality, equitable learning resource.
Follows all institutional and regulatory policies, procedures and standards. Utilizes self-appraisal to determine progress in meeting performance management system objectives and career goals.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to interact with public (internal/external) continuously. Ability to sit, walk, and stand frequently. Ability to bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, lift 0-50 lbs, lift 50+ lbs, carry 0-50 lbs, carry 50+ lbs, and push 0-300 lbs. occasionally.
