The purpose of this class is to perform professional administrative work supporting a functional area within assigned College department or function.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred; Computer literacy; a minimum of three years of financial aid or related experience in a higher education or comparable setting. Prior experience with the financial aid software, SCT Banner experience preferred. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.

Positions location Essex and Catonsville Campus.
  1. Provide leadership to assigned College division and/or function.
  2. Remain knowledgeable about the College, its structure, culture, policies, and practices.
  3. Serve as point of contact for internal and external organizations.
  4. Prepare and analyze reports, as requested.
  5. Develop policies and procedures, as required.
  6. Serve as an advocate for the College and its students, as required.
  7. Serve as liaison between College departments, faculty and/or staff, as required.

  1. Provide outstanding service to students and other internal and external customers.
  2. Counsels and advises students and parents regarding the availability of financial aid, eligibility requirements, and the application and awarding process.
  3. Represent CCBC at financial aid outreach events.
  4. Process student verification to determine eligibility, perform needs analysis and authorize disbursements based on case load.
  5. Determine Student award eligibility for federal, state and institutional funding.
  6. Resolve financial aid over awards and monitor tuition adjustments to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
  7. Ensure compliance with all financial aid policies, procedures and regulations when reviewing financial aid applications.
  8. Perform special processing functions such as: Loans, SAP, Scholarships, R2T4, and Special Considerations.
