The purpose of this class is to perform professional level administrative duties in coordinating the daily operations of assigned College division or function.

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of full time experience in education, health, human services, health care, or program development/management. One of those years must be in a supervisory role. Master's degree preferred. Prior experience in and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population, and licensure/certifications related to education, health care, human services or program management is preferred. Valid driver's license with a good driving record of less than five (5) points.

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.

  1. Coordinate a functional process within assigned College department or division.
  2. Design, develop and implement department programs or initiatives.
  3. Monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
  4. Maintain department records and files, as required.
  5. Facilitate and attend meetings, as required.
  6. Recruit, select, supervise, advise, and evaluate assigned staff, as required.
  7. Prepare, analyze and provide reports on miscellaneous subjects, as requested.
  8. Manage program expenses efficiently and economically.
  9. Identify, access and analyze program data in the college's enterprise system.
  10. Develop new courses (including meeting accreditation and/or certification standards) and course series.
  11. Provide superior customer service and problem-solving to both students and contract training clients.

  1. Plan and coordinate assigned Health and Human Services programs.
  2. Accurately forecast, and track, annual unit revenue and FTE generation.
  3. Develop and achieve personal and business goals, and budgets that contribute to the unit and divisional goals and business plans.
  4. Identify, target and close contracts with existing and potential training customers.
  5. Recruit, select, train and supervise adjunct faculty and instructors.
  6. Represent and the college at affinity groups, and at professional and community events.
  7. Maintain industry relationships with all federal, state and county entities and credentialing organizations governing the various program areas.
  8. Provide leadership in educational strategies designed to reach a diverse student body.
  9. Counsel and advise students.
  10. Manage supply of instructional materials, student materials and equipment for all applicable programs and courses.
