The Manufacturing Production Manager oversees manufacturing for a specific line of products in the Manufacturing Production Department. This involves training and coaching Processing Operators and Packaging Associates, and oversight of department processes to ensure the team is meeting quality and productivity requirements.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Shift is Wednesday – Saturday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Will be leading a team of up to 30 associates
    • Will consist of line leaders, operators, and packaging associates
  • Ensures that established standards, including production, 5s, quantity, and quality are met.
  • Takes direct action to correct deviations and report variances and exceptions.
  • Ensures that all production operations fully comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Lean Practices
  • Participates on weekly audits. Ensures corrective actions achieve overall 5S goals.
  • Effectively plans, monitors and meets production schedules to ensure production volumes and output are in line with company and sales requirements
  • Partnering with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
  • Participates in Lean Daily Management process and leads root cause analysis with teams to improve processes.
  • Manages and ensures completion of batch records.
  • Responsible for the department budgets and recommends capital requirements needed for current and future state production.
  • Facilitates monthly inventory reviews and any adjustments needed for State Regulatory requirements as well as ERP (Acumatica) adjustments.
  • Evaluates employee training to ensure all employees are trained on GMP, Personal Hygiene, and Manufacturing Standard Work
  • Evaluates performance and skills of personnel providing feedback and training where needed, following Curio best practices
  • Creates and maintains standard work to improve quality and productivity.
  • Creates Production Plans that outline all equipment and labor resources needed to facilitate quality and timeliness of all manufacturing activities.
  • Coach, trains, and develops employees using company policies and protocols
  • Maintains a culture of professionalism and service 
  • Ensures daily compliance with policies including, but not limited to, state compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules 
  • Complies with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure 
  • Evaluates and conducts the necessary training for employees and self
  • Creating, managing, and supporting recognition and communication programs
  • All other duties as assigned by management

Supervisory Responsibilities:                                       

This person is accountable for the management of others, through a subordinate supervisor, including selection, recommending termination, performance appraisal, and professional development.

Education and Experience:                                          

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 5 years of supervisory experience

Other Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experiences working in a manufacturing environment with GMP and/or ISO certifications
  • Experience working with formulations and batch/recipe production order development
  • Trained in performance management and coaching
  • Problem Solving Training/Skills
