We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Perform animal handling and restraint during examinations and treatments
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for analysis
- Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, urinalysis, and radiographs
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Clean and maintain equipment, instruments, and exam rooms
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records

Skills:
- Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Knowledge of pet grooming and basic animal husbandry practices
- Experience in dog handling and behavior management
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and medical procedures
- Familiarity with animal catheterization techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

Requirements:

- Anesthesia experience a plus
- RVT or equivalent certification preferred
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital is highly desirable
- Must have a genuine passion for working with animals and providing exceptional care
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for long periods of time
