DePaul University Speech Language Pathology Program invites applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor to begin July 1, 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and energetic professional who has the vision to create a meaningful impact on the college, university, and community; and to collaborate in developing our ground-breaking program at DePaul. The Speech Language Pathology Program is located in the heart of Chicago at the Lincoln Park campus.

The successful candidate will be passionate about and eager to contribute to our program mission. Responsibilities include teaching, clinical supervision, and service to the program and university. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience and expertise with pediatric and/or populations with a focus on one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred: child language; speech sound disorders; voice; AAC; motor speech; dysphagia; neurogenic disorders. This is a 12-month appointment with a start date of July 1, 2024.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Licensure, or eligible for licensure, from the State of Illinois
  • Experience supervising speech language pathology students (CF or Graduate level students)

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology or a closely related field
  • Experience and expertise with pediatric and/or adult populations with a focus on one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred: child language; speech sound disorders; voice; AAC; motor speech; dysphagia; neurogenic disorders.
  • Bilingual
  • College or graduate level teaching experience (Or clinical teaching in school or medical settings)
