The Department of Communication and Theatre at DePauw University invites applications for a part term position at the rank of Instructor (master's degree) or Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) to begin in August 2024. A doctoral degree in Communication by the time of appointment is preferred. A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal-arts setting and evidence of effective and inclusive teaching are essential. The department specifically seeks candidates to teach COMM 123 Public Speaking. Teaching assignment is 2 courses per year (one per semester).

This course is one section of a lower-level public speaking course. This course examines the attitudes, methods, and techniques used in effective public speaking. Effective performance is required in a variety of speaking situations.
