Drew University is seeking a Non-Tenure-Track Assistant Teaching Professor in the Chemistry Department.

Drew University seeks applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor in Chemistry beginning Fall Semester, 2024. This is a renewable position contingent upon positive review; Drew offers a promotional track for non-tenure track teaching faculty. Opportunities to gain experience in mentoring undergraduate researchers exist for interested candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach courses and laboratories in General Chemistry
  • Teach courses and laboratories in Organic Chemistry
  • Contribute to curriculum development
Required Qualifications:

List the minimum academic requirements for this position: Bachelors required, Masters, preferred
  • Must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related discipline, with expertise in organic chemistry
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Candidate should demonstrate a commitment to excellent undergraduate teaching with expertise and/or interest in student-centered pedagogies
  • Candidate should have a commitment to the use of chemistry instrumentation and technology as instructional tools.
