Equipment Operator

Primary Duties & Expectations:
Work in EWMI’s Field Services division which entails; physical labor, heavy equipment operation,
working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, cutting tools, etc.
Operate all types of heavy equipment in a skilled and safe manner.
Primary responsibilities will be to proficiently operate heavy equipment. Including operation of
equipment attachments. Assignments relating to environmental cleanup activities.
Understand excavation, backfill, grading and trenching techniques. Be versed in excavation and
site work activities and have an understanding of heavy equipment operation protocol and practices.
Perform and assist with other on-site job-related tasks and activities.
Capable of reading blueprints, establishing elevations, and installing piping, setting catch basins
Project assignments include environmental remediation and construction type work involving
hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, confined space and construction related environments.
Have a working knowledge of / willingness to learn OSHA, DOT and EPA/RCRA regulations.
Tasks include successful performance and completion of any company related projects.
Support of Rapid Response, Inc. by responding and assisting in emergency spill cleanups.
This position requires overnight travel.
A positive attitude and ability to be a team player is required.
Performance of all duties are to be conducted with safety as the top priority.
Compensation package:
Wage: Hourly - based on experience
Sundays: 2 x hourly rate; Holidays: 2.5 x hourly rate
All related business expenses (Tolls, mileage, etc.)
Per Diem: $50/night for overnight travel……$75.00/night for COVID impacted activities.
Safety Gear: Safety shoes, Safety glasses, all necessary Safety Equipment and Apparel
Company apparel (uniforms, shirts, jackets, etc.)
Paid Holidays – 9 days.
