Objective:

Etain is seeking an inspiring leader with a proven track record in retail management for its Manhattan flagship dispensary. This individual possesses a deep understanding of retail development and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a retail leader who has a passion for helping others and a curiosity for the cannabis industry. This individual should have the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team, combined with expertise in employee development and retail operations. We seek someone who is detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to achieving business goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Store Operations Management:

  • Ensure the successful execution of all store operations, inventory and compliance responsibilities.
  • Oversee inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing efficient restocking procedures.
  • Conduct thorough cash audits and maintain strict compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Manager to develop and implement effective employee schedules, ensuring optimal staffing levels to meet customer demand. Being aware of headcount requirements given sales trends and seasonality.
  • Provide guidance and support in visual merchandising efforts to enhance the overall store aesthetic and promote product visibility in partnership with the Retail Buyer and Marketing Director.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth, work with HR to implement training programs and performance management initiatives to develop and retain a skilled and motivated team.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits in line with company and state expectations. Maintain strict records in accordance with company policy.

Customer Service and Satisfaction:

  • Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring a welcoming and informative environment for all customers.
  • Monitor and evaluate customer satisfaction levels through feedback analysis and implement improvements to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Manager and team members to resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and product knowledge, to provide accurate information and recommendations to customers.

People Management and Development:

  • Foster the professional growth and development of dispensary staff.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new team members, ensuring a strong foundation of knowledge and skills.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement development plans to enhance employee performance and job satisfaction. Conduct 1:1's monthly with assistant managers and quarterly with store employees.
  • Establish a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and inclusivity.
  • Partner with HR and Leadership to resolve employee relations issues.

Financial Management:

  • Understand and manage the store's Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, analyzing key performance metrics and taking appropriate action to optimize profitability.
  • Implement cost-control measures and operational efficiencies to achieve financial targets.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop staffing strategies aligned with business objectives.

Work Environment:

As the Manhattan Dispensary Manager, you will work in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Your ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively with a diverse team will be key to your success. Weekends and evenings availability is required for this role.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of retail management experience, preferably in the cannabis industry or a similar highly regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, cash handling, scheduling, visual merchandising, and staff development.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Experience leading teams of 10 or more. Preferably in a high-volume retail environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with P&L management and staffing considerations, driving business results. Including an understanding of business analytics and ability to use google suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lb pound boxes.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis for training, industry events, or other business-related purposes.

Other Duties:

  • Possible travel to other dispensaries to support store operations, take part in or provide training, and collaborate cross functionally.
  • Participation and support in Etain events and partnership events.
