The Department of Psychology at Florida International University (FIU) is searching for a non-tenure track full-time open-rank clinical professor position for our masters' program in Professional Counseling Psychology. The position is for 12-month full-time, non-tenure track clinical faculty. Clinical professor positions are in-unit faculty positions that are renewable annually, benefits eligible, and eligible for promotion opportunities that mirror those of tenure-track faculty. Assignments will have an emphasis on providing clinical supervision and teaching counseling psychology courses in both hybrid (i.e., blended) and online formats instruction in counseling psychology. Based on experience and interest, candidates may also have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision as part of NIH-funded research projects, with opportunities for growth in a collaborative scientific leadership role. Candidates will be expected to perform departmental service as full-time members of the department's faculty. A Ph.D. in psychology or related discipline is required. Evidence of effectiveness in teaching, mentoring, and supervision and experience working with and teaching/mentoring diverse students is strongly preferred.
The department is strongly committed to a climate that embraces diversity and is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity of the academic community through research, teaching, and service. The department has 35 tenure-track faculty, 30 teaching, research, and clinical faculty, more than 500 graduate students spread across six doctoral specialty programs and three master's programs, and more than 5,000 undergraduate majors.
