The Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Florida International University invites applications for a Tenure-Earning Faculty position at an Open Rank: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the Undergraduate Nursing Department. Successful candidates must have a PhD in Nursing or a related field from an accredited institution with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service. The preferences for areas of nursing specialty include Gerontology, Maternity, Pediatrics, Community Health, Psych/Mental Health, and Adult or Family Health. The NWCNHS nursing programs are accredited by CCNE. Faculty may teach across programs, in the classroom or through FIU Online. Qualified candidates must hold a national certification in their specialty area and have a Registered Nurse (RN) license and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of Florida upon employment.

The mission of the College is to: (a) prepare diverse healthcare professionals who are providers and leaders in the delivery of high quality, accessible, culturally-competent, and compassionate care within in a highly technological and global environment; (b) to teach, conduct research and practice in service to the community through inter-professional collaboration; (c) to create, promote, expand and validate scientific knowledge and evidence-based practice through interdisciplinary research.
