Responsibilities

Scope of Work: The Electrical Project Foreman is accountable for providing leadership, management, and supervision for electrical projects within the commercial and industrial sectors. This role involves overseeing safe installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Crew Management:
    • Lead and manage crews comprising lead persons/crew leaders, journeypersons, apprentices, and helpers.
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  2. Project Planning and Execution:
    • Lay out project work and coordinate timely scheduling of materials, tools, and equipment to meet project scope, budget, and schedule.
    • Supervise on-site construction projects, trade contractors, and field personnel to ensure projects are completed within established parameters.
  3. Quality Assurance and Client Satisfaction:
    • Review project documents, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance.
    • Resolve construction difficulties, coordinate field installations, and oversee project close-outs.
    • Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers/clients, ensuring satisfaction with project outcomes.
  4. Compliance and Performance Evaluation:
    • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, project costs, time constraints, and quality standards.
    • Conduct annual performance evaluations for assigned personnel as directed.
  5. Licensing and Communication:
    • Maintain a Journeyman's license where required.
    • Report to the General Superintendent and liaise with Project Management, field personnel, and support staff (e.g., Estimating, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources).
    • Interact externally with owners, architects, engineers, trade contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
  6. Labor Supervision:
    • Supervise project labor, typically overseeing 25+ employees, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols.

 


Qualifications

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • EDUCATION: High school/college graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience.
  • EXPERIENCE: Four or more years of field supervision/management experience and meets position requirements.
  • SPECIALIZED SKILLS: High level interpersonal relationship skills, proficiency in communication skills, organization skills, and must be computer literate (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel).
