This position is located at our Vail Flagship store in Vail Village, CO. 

We are seeking an experienced Gift and Home furnishings Buyer to join our Gorsuch family of retail professionals! This Buyer must have a keen intellect and strong luxury fashion sense to understand and keep growing the Gorsuch brand. They will be responsible for sourcing and maintaining vendor relationships, negotiate and manage terms, and develop and execute purchasing orders, all while maintaining the vision of Gorsuch. 

General Duties and Responsibilities:

- Research, select and implement new merchandise based on business objectives and store needs, while ensuring that merchandise is profitable.
- Responsible for developing and executing product assortments to achieve sale goals while maintaining brand authenticity. 
- Communicate and maintain strong relationships with all vendors and identify new opportunities that aligns with industry trends. 
- Manage inventory levels for multiple stores and online business to stay updated and in stock while assessing category needs to make informed buying decisions. 
- Negotiate and manage terms with vendors to ensure optimal terms relating to pricing, delivery, schedules, exclusivity, etc. that aligns with company goals.  

Qualifications and Competencies: 

- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Retail Fashion Merchandising preferred, and/or other relevant experience. -  5-10 years of experience in buying, merchandising, luxury retail and/or interior design. 
- Ability to work consistently in varying environment including working in office, merchandising stores, fashion and product photo shoots, and traveling between stores in Colorado and Utah and/or attending retail trade shows. 
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required to effectively coordinate with domestic and international vendors concerning new product lines, pricing, samples, and deliveries.  
 - Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are required. 
 - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel required.  

Compensation and Benefits: 

The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $85,000 - $115,000 annually. The rate of pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
