Haverford College invites applications for a one year full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in the Economics Department for the 2024-25 academic year.
Haverford College invites applications for a one year full-time visiting position in the Economics Department for the 2024-25 academic year. Candidates will be expected to teach the equivalent of 5 courses, including three electives courses as well as supervision of senior research projects. Candidates who are able to teach advanced undergraduate courses in macroeconomics are especially encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to engaging a diverse student body and creating an inclusive classroom environment in a liberal arts context.
Candidates should provide evidence of a vigorous commitment to scholarship and excellence in teaching. Candidates should have a PhD by August 2024, and be available to start by August 26, 2024.
Applicants should submit the following: (1) a cover letter; (2) a CV; (3) a statement of teaching philosophy, experience, and effectiveness; (4) a sample of recent papers, and: (5) three letters of recommendation. Review of applications will begin on May 7, and will continue until the position is filled.
