CDL with S and P Endorsements
School Bus Driver Experience Preferred
Good Driving Record
Possess Michigan School Bus Driver Continuing Ed Card
Good communication skills
Participate in professional development
Basic knowledge in first aid
Maintain a working phone
Good physical condition and able to pass a DOT physical exam and drug screen
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk or hear and must possess physical abilities sufficient to employ physical intervention strategies when necessary. These abilities include reaching with hands and arms, using hands to finger, handle or feel objects and tools; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, maintaining balance.
Be able to regularly lift 50lbs., and push/pull up to 100lbs.
Specific vision required for this job includes close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
Demonstrate understanding of student and family confidentiality
Attendance is an essential part of employment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Transportation of students with special needs
Care of bus - (standards specified by Transportation Supervisor)
Maintain all certifications and standards required for this position
Maintain confidentiality
Assist students on and off the bus as needed (wheelchairs)
Implement and follow all plans as related to transportation
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or Equivalent
