Essential Job Functions
  • Supplements faculty work with students across all elements of specific applied initiatives, including, coaching through specific project work, application of research to resolve business issues, and development of presentations/reports
  • Infuses industry knowledge of current tools and techniques onto project-based work and assists in training students on their application
  • Champions an industry perspective on teamwork and collaboration with students
  • Collaborates with faculty to coach students through industry-ready professional deliverables including, analyses and reporting
  • Demonstrates the potential career trajectories within the industry and discusses these opportunities with students
  • Consults on all aspects of current industry standards for marketing and provides the department with ideas on how to adapt to the industry changes
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in marketing, data analytics, communications or a related field from a regionally accredited institution, or other appropriate accreditation as determined by Johnson & Wales University
  • Moderate amount of experience working in a broad range of marketing and advertising (e.g. marketing, data analytics, marketing strategy strategic advertising campaigns, basic copywriting and art direction, fashion merchandising and retailing, or experience developing and managing fully integrated marketing communication campaigns including the use of omnichannel strategies)
  • Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations
  • Ability to work on-campus weekdays, some evenings and occasionally on the weekend, as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or greater in marketing, market research, communications, or a related field of study with summative coursework in marketing, market research, advertising or communications
  • Five or more years of industry-level experience with appropriate certification/training courses (e.g. Google Paid Search, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Burke Institute, etc.)
  • Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
  • Experience in digital media planning such as paid search, analytics, SEO, programmatic platforms and social media
