Fundamental Objective
Operate, monitor and maintain the Kern County Water Agency (Agency) conventional water purification plant and distribution system in conformance with the regulations set forth by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), Division of Drinking Water (DDW) and United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include operating, monitoring and maintaining the Kern County Water Agency’s conventional water purification plant and distribution system in conformance with the regulations set forth by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), Division of Drinking Water (DDW) and United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Qualifications and Education Requirements
All applicants must possess a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate and a valid California Class C or higher driver license. One year of experience working at a water purification facility and possession of a SWRCB Water Treatment Plant Operator Grade II (T2) and SWRCB Distribution Grade II (D2) certification is required for the II level.
