LakeResearchPartners (LRP), a leading Democratic public opinion research and political consulting firm, is accepting applications from experienced and qualified candidates for the position of Analyst and Associate Analyst. These are full-time positions. The selected candidate would work with political organizations and progressive issue clients. Candidates would report directly to one of LRP's partner-led teams.

The ideal candidate will have some political and polling experience and be highly detail-oriented with the proven ability to follow through on assignments. Previous political experience is highly valued. Analysts should have 1-2 years of experience in an office setting, including internships, fellowships, or a campaign. Associate Analysts should have 3-4 years of experience in an office setting, including professional experience in public opinion research.

LakeResearchPartners serves as senior advisors to a wide range of advocacy groups, labor unions, non-profits, state and federal government agencies, companies and foundations, as well as numerous elected officials at all levels of the government.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Proofing documents, including reports, presentations, and tables of numbers

  • Writing short client memos and components of reports

  • Creating public presentations

  • Conducting background research for projects

  • Providing support for marketing needs as directed

  • Attending external events of interest to the team and firm

Applicants Must:

  • Be organized, diligent and responsible and able to juggle a range of different tasks simultaneously

  • Exhibit a high level of attention to detail

  • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work well under tight deadlines

  • Be able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments

  • Show sound judgment and discretion

  • Show good customer relationship and follow-up skills

Preferred Skills:

  • A level of political acumen

  • A background in or understanding of data analysis

  • Experience conducting opinion research

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

  • A commitment to the progressive movement and to social, economic, and racial justice
