DESIGN ENGINEER

Hiring a Design Engineer in East Moline, Illinois. Responsible for the mechanical design and development of heavy lifting equipment and machinery, including hydraulic cylinders and gantries, mobile lift, and hoist and haul machines at our East Moline facility. Design and develop new hydraulic cylinders using DFMEA techniques; Custom Design and draft heavy lifting equipment and material handling supports using CAD software; Structural design of mechanical and hydraulic gantry systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks; Apply sustainability principles on design of machine drawings and fixtures; Ensure all designs must meet customer requirement by following engineering standards (ASME, ASTM, ANSI, etc.); Perform stack up analysis by applying GD&T on all designed parts; Document and apply manual structural calculation on custom machines; and Review FEA reports from Structural Engineers for custom design and perform solid modeling. Must successfully pass drug testing panel, including THC. Must have a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Must have at least 6 months of Design Engineering Experience.
