Job Description:


Longwood University invites applications for the position of Director of Operations, Women's Basketball (GA040) in Athletics. The successful candidate will work with the women's head basketball coach and staff to ensure the completion of the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball program. This position will be responsible for off the court activities, including processing paperwork, coordinating team travel and ordering equipment.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Administer the day-to-day operations of the Women's Basketball program
  • Manage film exchange and video editing programs
  • Coordinate all aspects of team travel
  • Assist the head coach and assistant coaches with coordinating the recruiting program
  • Guide and support student athletes by encouraging academic success and personal growth
  • Coordinate and plan summer camps
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach

Requirements:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree with equivalent work experience
  • Possess outstanding written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge and understanding of NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations
  • Experience working in, or around, a college athletics program preferred
