Duties and Responsibilities
Loyola University Chicago Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging
The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging is seeking a full-time board certified diagnostic radiologist with extensive experience or fellowship training in breast imaging. The candidate who takes this role will have the opportunity to join an experienced breast imaging team at our rapidly growing breast care program in the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.
Proficiency in reading digital mammography/tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and interventional skills for all modality biopsy guidance, required. The breast centers at Loyola Medical Center, Gottlieb Hospital and MacNeal Hospital are equipped with digital mammography/Hologic 3D mammography units, diagnostic US units, ABUS, breast MRI (3T), dedicated biopsy suites for stereotactic (3D) and US-guided biopsies.
Our group is committed to provide excellent patient care and high quality breast imaging, which has led to great relationships with our referring surgeons, oncologists and primary care providers. This will include coordination with breast surgeons, plastic reconstruction surgeons, pathologists and oncologists with regularly scheduled case conferences. You will be joined by a highly skilled, credentialed team of technologists, nurses and radiologists. Loyola Medicine is a quaternary care system based in the western suburbs of Chicago that includes Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) in Maywood, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital (GMH) in Melrose Park, MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn and convenient locations offering primary and specialty care services from 1,772 physicians throughout Cook, Will and DuPage counties.
LUMC is a 547-licensed-bed hospital that includes the William G. and Mary A. Ryan Center for Heart & Vascular Medicine, the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, a Level 1 trauma center, Illinois's largest burn center, a certified comprehensive stroke center and a children's hospital. The medical center campus is also home to Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and the Loyola Center for Fitness.
