Job Description

Missouri S&T, a NCAA II institution in the Great Lakes Valley Conference is accepting applications for an assistant women's basketball coach.

In this full-time position, the general responsibilities include assisting the head women's basketball coach in the coordination and supervision of the program, planning practices, designing and implementing basketball strategies and techniques, scouting opponents, and recruiting. Experience coaching forwards is preferred. The individual must communicate effectively with others, including but not limited to, prospective student-athletes, parents, boosters, other coaches, support staff, campus departments, and administration. Specific responsibilities include recruiting, coaching, overseeing fundraising activities, and supervising student-athletes. This individual will also manage travel, hotels, meals, equipment purchases, and camps.

The successful candidate must embrace the academic rigor and mission of the University by recruiting high achieving student-athletes. He or she must be able to demonstrate excellence within their career. This person will be added to a talented athletic department staff comprised of positive, enthusiastic coaches who have the skill set to build S&T athletics into a nationally ranked Division II program. This position must adhere to NCAA and GLVC rules and institutional polices.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $37,440 to $38,500 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
