Office of the Vice Chancellor- University Advancement

Job Description
  • Guide the Vice Chancellor in remaining focused on our mission and goals by assisting with tracking and reporting division progress
  • Assist with calendaring by scheduling meetings, coordinating logistics and creating agendas
  • Prepare the Vice Chancellor for meetings and events by anticipating needs and briefing prior to engagements
  • Provide support via email correspondence, phone calls, letters, and office requests, ensuring timely and professional responses
  • Develop reports, proposals, presentations, and other materials, exhibiting attention to detail and the ability to synthesize data/information
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the Missouri S&T Board of Trustees by coordinating and executing semi-annual meetings and acting as a key point of contact for regular inquiries and requests
  • Prepare minutes by summarizing meetings as recording secretary for the board. Maintain all official board papers
  • Manage the office needs
  • Prepare travel and expense reports for prompt reimbursements
  • Facilitate regular divisional meetings for varying groups
  • Involvement with other significant events and division-wide projects may be expected to support the mission and vision of University Advancement
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • Four years of related office experience is necessary; education or training beyond high school may be substituted for up to two years
  • Strong analytic and time management skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while exhibiting attention to detail
  • Demonstrate experience in managing small events, travel arrangements, managing multiple calendars, preparing meeting agendas and synthesizing data/information is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Calendar, merge capabilities) and PeopleSoft
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer programs specific to departmental needs
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.61 to $24.00 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
