    TYPE OF POSITION/EMPLOYMENT CATEGORY: Full -Time, Staff

    DEPARTMENT: Madison Theatre

    SCHEDULE: 10am to 6pm (Non-traditional, based on theatre events).
    • Work can be at theatre or across campus. Hours need to be flexible with events running 7 days a week with multiple events per day. Hours can start as early as 7am and run as late as 12am. At times, hours may run over night in order to facilitate multiple events.
    • Occasional evening, holiday, or weekend work required: The theatre operates heavily both when school is in session, but most of our outside events are during times when school isn't in session. Weekends and holidays are prime time for being able to operate and use the theatre for programming.
    • Occasional travel required for day trips to pick up supplies.
    REMOTE WORK ELIGILITY: No

    HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 35 hours/week and 52 weeks/year

    FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt, Hourly

    GENERAL PURPOSE

    Manage and facilitate the stage needs of the theatre including physical scenic builds. Schedule, instruct, and manage temporary help both professional and student workers. Coordinate with Artistic Director to consult, Advance, staff, and facilitate all technical needs for events with various university department instructors, deans, and administrators for use of the theatre and across campus. Additionally, consult, advance, and facilitate all technical needs for outside events using the theatre. Coordinate with CAP21 for all physical and technical needs for their performances.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Via email, phone, or face-to-face meetings, Advancing and Coordinating the technical needs for various events across campus from set up instructions for stage equipment, all material in various formats for AV and projection, Video recordings, lighting, sound, rentals, scenic buildings, and staffing while coordinating budgeting with General Manager.
    • Facilitating the set up and build for each event.
    • Operate and Run Sound and other technical needs of each event. Video productions a plus.
    • Repairing and Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the equipment of the theatre.
    • Coordinating and maintaining the safety of students and staff working in the theatre.
    REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Some College, Technical Theatre Training
    • 5 to 8 years of work-related experience
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
    • Databases
    • Operation of stage equipment, AV equipment, Ion Lighting board, Yamaha sound consul, knowledge of Q-Lab, Finale, Finale Cut, Watchout 6
    RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT
    • Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
    SALARY INFORMATION

    When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rate for this position is $20 to $22/hour. This hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
