Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Mathematics Learning Center Coordinator.

This position reports directly to the Director of Tutoring Services.

This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.

Other Requirements:
  • Experience working with college students, while having the knowledge of methods and techniques to teach mathematics.
  • Ability to manage and mentor tutors in regards to scheduling, training, and daily tutor/tutee interactions.
  • Willingness to meet the growing need to support students in mathematics across multiple disciplines.
  • Willingness to communicate with various groups of people such as faculty, students, and other administrators to be aware of curriculum needs and changes and to support student needs.
  • Address and respond to initiatives set forth by the Strategic plan, University mission, and Academic Affairs.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters in Mathematics or Masters in Education with a strong math background.
  • Ability to support the administration of the Math Placement test as needed.
  • Familiarity with different learning styles.
  • Familiarity with best practices associated with math tutoring.
