APPLICATIONS ANALYST - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Summary:
This position is responsible for researching, implementing, supporting, optimizing, upgrading, and enhancing client server and cloud-based enterprise software applications. This includes on premise and cloud SaaS models. This position serves as a technical point-of-contact for software applications and assist subject matter experts with system issues, service requests, data-flow design, and system improvement. This position is mainly responsible for supporting business and financial systems as well as clinical and billing software that integrates with the EMR including but not limited to Financial, HR, Payroll, Supply Chain, Time and Attendance, Staff Scheduling, Document Imaging, Coding, and Billing Systems.

Education, Licensure and/or Work Experience Requirements: · Experience Required: * Strong organizational skills to plan, organize, facilitate, and direct the activities of users, assign and monitor task/project work relevant to application systems * Strong analytical and technical skills to evaluate systems and system problems, formulate alternative solutions, and evaluate program and staff effectiveness * Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail * Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Project management experience * Ability to work independently with minimum supervision * Excellent verbal and written communication and proven ability to train others effectively · Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resource Management, Business, Accounting, Finance, or other business or information technology related field is required. In lieu of a college degree, 8 years of relevant experience required. · Licensure/Certifications Required: None

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Provide on-going application support and maintenance including troubleshooting, problem solving, and customer support for internal users as well as external users such as employee applicants as needed. · Provide technical and functional support for enterprise software applications including but not limited to payroll, year-end processing, benefits, garnishments, billing, and document imaging. · Provide first line technical and functional support for enterprise software and vendor integration. · Lead optimization and enhancement projects. · Lead development of documentation and training material. · Communicate with department management, software vendors, software consultants and other IT analysts to resolve issues with enterprise software applications. · Build, test, maintain, customize and audit systems to manage system functionality, integrity and security. · Develop, analyze, create and test processes to ensure consistent system operation. · Monitor system and/or process failures and coordinate with affected party to resolve including maintenance and implementation of downtime procedures when needed. · Log system issues in IT ticketing system as well as software vendor and consultant’s ticket systems when needed. · Monitor system patches and upgrades while notifying system users of impact to daily operations. · Maintain enterprise software documentation and business decision documents. · Monitor and maintain system interfaces. · Create and run database reports as needed using various system tools such as SQL, Excel, MS Access, Spreadsheet Designer, and MS Add-ins. · Import and upload data to enterprise software application databases as needed while maintaining the integrity of the system and the database. · Assist in training staff members, employees and leaders including employee and manager portals. · Assist as needed with training new hires. · Perform system and security audits. · Responsible for cross training of other IT Analysts as well as learning additional analyst roles in order to serve as backup and secondary support. · Responsible for insuring confidentiality of employee records and information. · Adheres to established hospital and department policies and procedures. · Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor. · Follows North Oaks Health System’s compliance programs and all federal and state regulatory guidelines.
