General Description:
The Community College Initiative (CCI) Program Senior Program Manager will assist the Assistant Director and the CCI Director to manage the day-to-day operations of the Community College Initiative (CCI) Program. This program is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and administered by Northern Virginia Community College, on behalf of the Community College Consortium. This position is a full-time restricted position with the possibility of renewal, contingent on availability of funding.

Duties and Tasks:
The Senior Program Manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the CCI Program in the following areas: program monitoring and reporting, liaising with community college partners and stakeholders, program administrative oversight, supervision of staff, event planning and management, CCI participant support, other duties as assigned. The Senior Program Manager will support the CCI leadership team with administrative, supervisory, and participant monitoring functions of the Community College Initiative Program.
Program Monitoring and Reporting:
The Senior Program Manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the CCI Program in the following areas: program monitoring and reporting, liaising with community college partners and stakeholders, program administrative oversight, supervision of staff, event planning and management, CCI participant support, other duties as assigned. The Senior Program Manager will support the CCI leadership team with administrative, supervisory, and participant monitoring functions of the Community College Initiative Program.
Program Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track program timeline and ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables across the participating colleges
- Lead the team in developing biannual and annual program reports
- Manage administrative aspects of the program including weekly report review, tracking of participant progress
- Implement monitoring and evaluation processes, analyze results to include in program reports and inform project implementation
Liaising with Community College Partners and Stakeholders:
- Oversee and serve as a liaison for program coordinators across all consortium partner institutions
- Respond to ECA requests and taskers
- Contribute to communication and collaboration efforts with U.S. Embassy & Fulbright Commissions personnel abroad
Program Administrative Oversight:
- Coordinate participant housing with vendors/colleges
- Manage participant information and data entry, maintaining accuracy and completeness
- Contribute to and manage the production of program deliverables including participant materials, handbooks, templates and guides for program partners, and program reports
- Support review, selection, and placement process of new participants
- Support the development and implementation of alumni programming
- Support and contribute to CCI-wide program branding, marketing and publications
- Support CCI participants and alumni through success and challenges
Event Planning and Logistics:
- Plan and implement CCI-wide in-person and virtual events and activities
- Lead team with procurement and contracting needs
- Support program budgeting and forecasting
- Support CCI NOVA program coordinators with activities and events
Training & Supervision:
- Supervise NOVA staff
- Oversee program coordinators at partner colleges.
- Support integration of new program coordinators – including training and program facilitation
- Support program coordinators with disciplinary process and other program duties.
Other Duties as Assigned
May occasionally be required to drive a 15-passenger van.
