Child Care Float Teacher

The Child Care Center at Hort Woods is seeking candidates committed to the process of creating and providing high quality learning environments for children and families. Position is for a Float Teacher, supporting both infant/toddler and preschool classrooms and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and maintaining high quality classroom standards in a laboratory setting

  • Coordinating and implementing an innovative curriculum model with a team of colleagues

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships of cooperation and respect with all co-workers, supervisors, and families

  • Maintaining standards in accordance with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation and PA Keystone STARS 4 quality standards

    Requires a minimum of an Associate's degree, or minimum of Child Development (CDA) Credential plus 2 years of related experience.

    This position requires the following clearances:

    PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check, and the National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (NSOR). A health physical with TB test is also required prior to starting the position.
