Position: Postdoctoral Research Associate, Ocean Circulation/Biogeochemistry Modeling

Description: The High Meadows Environmental Institute at Princeton University is seeking a Postdoctoral associate or more senior researcher(s) in the area of ocean circulation and biogeochemistry modeling to work with Professor Laure Resplandy, as part of the "Global Ocean and Land Alkalinization (GOAL-A)," a new Department of Energy (DOE) Earth Shot collaborative project between scientists at Yale, Georgia Tech, Princeton and Texas A&M. At Princeton, the postdoc will investigate the impact of enhanced weathering and ocean alkalinity enhancement on ocean/atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations, ecosystems, and ocean pH. The ideal candidate will have a background in ocean modeling, but candidates with the necessary background in ocean biogeochemistry and/or geophysical fluid dynamics will be given full consideration. A Ph.D. in Geosciences or related field is required. Postdoctoral appointments are initially for one year with the renewal for subsequent years based on satisfactory performance and continued funding. A competitive salary is offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.
