LANDSCAPE CREW LEADERS

River Valley Landscapes has been an award-winning design/build landscaping company in Central PA for over 30 years. We are seeking to grow our team with experienced landscape crew leaders. A good candidate will have an in-depth understanding of both the installation and maintenance of landscape projects of varying sizes and complexity and able to lead by example on site. Ability to run both hardscape and softscape projects is highly desired. Compensation will reflect the applicant's base of skill, knowledge, work ethic, and desire to cross train into other areas over time.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Landscaping experience
• Landscape maintenance experience - pruning, edging, mulching
• Horticultural background
• Knowledge of hardscape techniques helpful
• Ability to take a project from start to finish by taking direction well and interpreting designs on site
• Ability to organize work, materials, and time for a crew
• Ability to teach employees about plants and proper installation techniques
• Strong customer service skills
• Team player

Responsibilities:

• Manage a 2-4 person crew
• Work with crew to complete jobs in a professional and timely manner
• Track materials used on jobs
• Complete all job-related paperwork
• Report to landscape designer or employer of work completed each day
