The HVAC/R Technician is directly responsible to the HVAC/R
Supervisor for the maintenance of the heating, ventilating,
air conditioning, refrigeration and related equipment and systems.
The HVAC/R Technician installs, services maintains, repairs and
replaces various HVAC/R and related systems including domestic and commercial heating, ventilation and refrigeration, chilled water air cooling and related heat controls, building heating supply and return lines, air handling units such as univents, and fan oil units and campus energy management and fire alarm system.
Associate of Applied Science in HVAC/R or equivalent training/work experience required. Proficient technical and installation skills along with interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Ability to read blueprints as it pertains to HVAC/R systems. Applicant must posses a current universal refrigerant service certification, possess
experience in but no limited to plumbing and electrical work.
