Additional Background:

Simmons University's Masters in Behavior Analysis and Doctorate in Behavior Analysis programs prepare students for leadership roles in the implementation, evaluation and administration of applied behavioral analytic principles and methods. Our campus-based Master of Science in Behavior Analysis program is one of the few master's programs across the world that are accredited by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), and was the first master's program in New England to be accredited by ABAI. Our innovative curriculum emphasizes contemporary research in applied behavior analysis, and students are required to complete experiential learning coursework as part of their degree program. Many of our graduates continue on to supervisory, consultative, and leadership roles in the field post graduation, as well as opening their own clinical practices, specializing in under-represented areas of practice in the field, and/or pursuing further education in a doctoral program.

Located in Boston's historic Fenway area, Simmons has a strong tradition of empowering women and of challenging traditional gender roles. Simmons University was one of the first higher education institutions to focus on preparing women to become leaders and has evolved to become a university offering a women-centered undergraduate program, with graduate programs open to all.

The Department of Behavior Analysis is housed in CNBHS, which is a collegial and supportive community of teachers and scholars within a uniquely multidisciplinary College.
