Job Summary – The Vice President of Operations and Portfolio Management is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the seed front office, maintenance of seed bank accounts, timely and correct reporting to seed’s funding agencies, management of seed’s loan portfolios, timely and appropriate servicing of seed’s loans, maintenance of seed’s files and computer network, assisting with employee fringe benefits, arranging building maintenance, and providing assistance to the executive director.  Associate's or bachelor’s degree preferred, five years minimum commercial loan experience with SBA 504 required.

Supervisor: The vice president of operations and portfolio management is supervised by the executive director.

Staff Supervised by VP/OPM: Operations and servicing administrator; commercial loan administrator, and loan servicing clerk.

Responsibilities include:

Supervision of the front office staff and their respective responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the servicing department and sufficient coverage for customer reception.
The supervision and maintenance of seed’s bank accounts, general ledgers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Reporting to seed’s board of directors, which includes monthly financial reports, status of portfolio, watch list, defaulted loan report, lender portal summary, semi-annual 504 risk rating, and portfolio concentration report.
Reporting to seed’s funding agencies – SBA, CDFI, EDA, MGCC, and RISSBCI, as well as state and federal government as appropriate, I.E. Dor and IRS.  Semi annual eda reporting, community advantage 7 am reporting.
Supervision of the management of seed’s portfolio including: collection of loan payments and client fees; servicing and risk rating of loan files; working with 504 clients on servicing requests, workouts, and liquidation, as necessary. Work with agencies to fulfill audit requests as requested.
Supervision of the maintenance of seed’s files including: administrative files; qc review of 504 and small loan files post closing, oversee the receipt of insurance binders, financial statements, job reporting and risk ratings. Ensuring paper filing is kept current in all loan files, and inputting loan data into the ventures and gms systems.
The maintenance and updating of staff fringe benefits working closely with the executive director.
Assisting the executive director with initiatives or projects as necessary.
