Job Description:


SUNY Empire State University's Office of Enrollment Management and Marketing (OEMM) is currently seeking a full-time Graduate Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator (State Title: Senior Staff Assistant) to focus on Graduate Programs. The Office of Enrollment Management and Marketing is a dynamic, highly collaborative, student-focused division dedicated to providing timely, high-touch support through the pre-enrollment lifecycle.

Responsibilities associated with this position include:
  • Develop and implement a recruitment plan for graduate program growth, that includes outreach, presentations, and events, utilizing specific channels and activities to guide prospective students through the enrollment process.
  • Lead partnership recruitment with external entities to attract and enroll students in collaboration with the Partnership Officer.
  • Establish viable enrollment channels and foster relationships for the university.
  • Manage leads generated from partnerships, maintaining contacts, and supporting existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with Academic Affairs to align programs with partnership needs.
  • Evaluate and adjust recruitment strategies to meet enrollment goals.
  • Contribute to university wide recruitment strategy via team meetings, projects assigned, and collaboration with recruitment team and Outreach and advisement coordinators.
  • Coordinate and manage the application review process with faculty and support staff.
  • Create and update reports as needed.

Requirements:


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in higher education, business or non-profit; related to marketing, communications, recruitment, admissions, development or student affairs.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective listening, probing, and assessment skills.
  • Experience working with data to analyze and evaluate outcomes.
  • Experience working with a diverse student population.
  • Ability to work independently as well as be a strong team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of four or more years in higher education and experience in Recruitment, Enrollment Management, Admissions, or a related field.
  • Experience with adult or graduate education.
  • Experience with CRM and other data management tools.
Special Information:
  • May involve occasional travel to university locations across New York State.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Rank/Salary: SL3 / $55,000.
