Scheduling: Full-time clinicians will have the option to choose from three scheduling templates that fit their work/life balance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult and adolescent members.
  • Collaborate with a trained clinician via video or phone communication to provide therapeutic services.
  • Coordinate transition services with the Care Navigation team.
  • Collaborate with clients and prepare concurrent documentation while in the session.
  • Attend monthly Mental Health townhall meetings, 1:1 meeting with a practice manager and/or clinical director, and other important training as needed.
  • Consistently meet or exceed clinical quality and client care standards.
  • Collaborate within our Teladoc Health family of multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.

The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs.


Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Demonstrate passion regarding the delivery of high-quality mental health care.
  • Must be able to work in an unsupervised capacity.
  • Ability to provide individual therapy. Some clinicians can provide individual, adolescents, and couples therapy based on experience.
  • Strong working knowledge and background in psychotherapy.
  • Excellent communication, planning and conflict resolution skills.
  • Schedule adherence.
  • Willingness to become licensed in additional states as required as business needs arise.

The qualifications and/or certifications listed below are mandatory for this role. License certifications must be actively maintained.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of non-supervised practice experience. Must be able to effectively diagnose mental disorders within your scope of practice and conduct individual therapy sessions.
  • Licensure to function independently and without supervision in all states in which an active license is held.
  • Master's degree or higher in social work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Successful completion of training hours under the supervision of a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (as applicable by state for independent practice) in an established and reputed clinical setting.
  • Must hold current licensure for independent clinical practice as a LICSW or LCSW from any of the 50 U.S. states or the District of Columbia.
  • Licensed as an LPC/LMHC/LPCC/LMFT in state(s) of California, Texas, New York, Georgia, and Pennsylvania (as applicable by state for independent practice).
