Texas Christian University's Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences (HCNHS) invites applications for a 9-month position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Nursing. Preference given to individuals who have completed the PhD. Candidates with an established program of research in the areas of wellness & chronic disease, health disparities & population health, and healthcare teaching & learning are strongly encouraged to apply. Educational preparation and broad clinical expertise in adult medical-surgical and simulation preferred. We are especially interested in candidates with experience teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing. The position is on-campus and in-person. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a current, valid, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

TCU Nursing prepares pre-licensure and graduate nurses with an innovative curriculum designed to prepare students at all levels for work in a wide variety of agencies, clinics, and other community facilities in addition to hospitals and extended-care facilities. For the undergraduate program the emphasis in classrooms and patient care settings is on the development of critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and competency. Our graduate and doctoral programs are fully online and prepare registered nurses for leadership and/or advanced practice in a variety of settings. Students are expected to assume considerable responsibility for your own learning, and are expected to become increasingly independent in the exercise of clinical judgment and in application of nursing process to a variety of problems and situations.
Our faculty includes accomplished educators, researchers, and practitioners interested in promoting the field of nursing education and practice. Our simulation and practice labs are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to prepare pre-licensure students for patient care before entering the hospital setting. These areas are also used in preparing graduate students to become competent practitioners within their scope of practice.
Our programs build on and reinforce a broad foundation of liberal studies. We provide a solid grounding in practice through partnerships with regional health care systems
