The Assistant Director of Clinical Operations (AD-CO) will provide oversight of clinical operations of the department, with a focus on ambulatory care clinics at Tulane and affiliated hospitals. The qualified candidate will work closely with Department of Medicine outpatient clinic staff and physicians on operational concerns and function as a liaison to Tulane University Medical Group (TUMG) to review and manage professional billing activities, RVU reports and coding benchmarking. The AD-CO will review and advise section chiefs, the chairman and faculty on revenue cycle issues and solutions. The AD-CO will work closely with department leadership to evaluate clinical activity compared to budget. The AD-CO will assist with reports and projections on clinical activity for budgeting by faculty. An understanding of clinic staffing, scheduling, and billing through various formats such as Patient Keeper and EPIC will enable these activities and roles.
