Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant Professor – Educator in Sport Administration responsible for: (a) teaching a diverse set of undergraduate and graduate courses including online courses; (b) assisting with program growth and development including curriculum and degree planning; and (c) engaging in university, professional, and community service. The Sport Administration program began in 2008 and has experienced continued growth since its inception.

The Bachelor of Science in Sport Administration has approximately 430 student majors. The Master of Science in Sport Administration is an online graduate program focusing on Interscholastic and Intercollegiate Athletic Administration. The graduate program has approximately 120 students. A doctoral degree program is slated to begin in Fall 2024.

Minimum Qualifications

(1) an earned master's degree in Sport Administration or related field.

(2) prior sport industry work experience.

(3) the ability to teach multiple courses from the following list: sport marketing, sport public relations, sales, management, sport finance, sport governance, ethical issues in sport, sport analytics, and sport law; (d) the ability to provide professional mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students.

Preferred Qualifications

(1) Professional and/or management experience in sport industry or a field directly related to assigned teaching responsibilities; and (2) ability to work collaboratively with university colleagues and area partners.
